First Aid at Work

The First Aid at Work course is a 3 day (18 hour) classroom based course for up to 12 delegates

This course is perfect for giving your team everything they might need to be confident and secure in their First Aid knowledge - loads of time to pick the content apart and really understand it. The syllabus I run meets and exceeds the guidelines set out by HSE, shown below

On completion of training successful candidates should have successfully demonstrated competence in all of the subject areas in an Emergency First Aid at Work course and also be able to:

• administer first aid to a casualty with:

–injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries;

– chest injuries;

– burns and scalds;

– eye injuries;

– sudden poisoning;

– anaphylactic shock;

• recognise the presence of major illness (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes) and provide appropriate first aid.
